JOB DESCRIPTION:
SQL Developer will assist with the on-going enhancement and creation of database applications and interfaces. This key position will provide front line support, while becoming familiar with the day-to-day processes of the firm. The candidate performs well under pressure, prioritizes effectively, and enjoys working in a very fast paced environment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in the planning, configuration and maintenance of all Company’s physical database environments.
• Participate in the definition, review, and execution of Data Management, Metadata, ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load), Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence architecture, deliverables, strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Work closely with Information Technology management and staff to ensure high availability of the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse solutions.
• Advise Information Technology Management and staff on Database Administration policies, procedures, technical issues, best practices and priorities that relate to the effective implementation and operation of an Enterprise wide Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse solution.
• Participate in the formulation of policies and procedures concerning Data Warehouse database design, operation and administration.
• Develop and tune database environments to ensure performance and service delivery expectations are met.
• Participate in the analysis, development, review, and maintenance of databases and data models, including dimensional (star and/or snowflake) as well as transactional RDBMS structures.
• Keep up-to-date on Business Intelligence tools, technology, and Data Warehouse database concept developments. Educate team members on related Database technologies and concepts.
• Act as a database developer when needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Practical Data Warehousing experience in the role of Database Administrator.
• Experience working with large Data Warehouses and Data Marts.
• Experience with Data Transformation technologies (Microsoft Integration Services preferred).
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Microsoft Analysis and Reporting Services preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio languages (including *.NET, AJAX, MDX, DMX and XMLA).
• Should be a team player willing to do whatever it takes to develop and document infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server 2000 or greater.
• 5+ years experience with SQL programming with emphasis on MSSQL/Transact-SQL.
