Mid Level Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Participate in all phases of software development on one or more commercial Web software systems with a focus on design and development using Microsoft .NET technology such as, but not limited to VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Web Services and SQL Server. May be responsible for not only the design and development of the software application but also the mentoring of junior developers on team. Will communicate with customers to obtain or clarify requirements and to provide end user support if needed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a team, and with limited supervision.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and enhance existing ASP.NET applications to incorporate customer requests, new user interface revisions, and extend the scalability of the solution.
• Develop and support products, libraries, components, web services and prototypes using .NET (C#), ASP.net, XML/XSL and/or other related technologies.
• Design/develop/maintain databases, stored procedures, triggers, cursors and other technologies related to database.
• Create technical documentation in Word and Visio (UML or other relevant techniques) to describe systems, their data structures, their data flows, and their processes.
• Work closely with the project managers / senior developers to ensure that projects satisfy functional requirements.
• Consult with the Software Architect to ensure architecture consistency and cohesion with other applications in the program and the corporate IT architecture.
• Implement new enterprise software applications alone or in a small project team within predefined deadlines
• Perform unit and integration testing on new and existing applications to identify and remove program errors, scalability constraints and configuration issues.
• Use practical choice of design, and pragmatic and result-oriented technical decisions in development.
• Utilize experience with software industries best practices and processes to ensure the best possible solution and delivery timelines.
• Use clean, maintainable code with appropriate documentation and in-code comments in all projects.
• Mentor junior developers, if required, in best practices of software development
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 2 - 3 years C#, ASP.NET
• 2 - 3 years SQL Sever
• Strong understanding of OO ( Object-Oriented ) Principles and Normalized database design
• Ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of projects and tasks on schedule
• Detail oriented, creative thinking and innovative decision making
• Must be able to manage workload independently & accurately NET 2.0 / 3.0 / 3.5
• Experience developing Content Management or e-Commerce products
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree

Salary based on experience and is comparable to like salaries within the area.
