Looking at seven-year-old Joe Duffill now it is hard to believe that he was once a very quiet and solitary little boy.
Today he is outgoing and confident and his parents put the dramatic personality change down to his hearing aids, which he wears each day. Joe was born with a severe, but undiagnosed hearing loss. About 840 babies, like Joe, are born each year in England with hearing loss in both ears and 500 with a loss in one ear.

Iowa Department of Public Health Renews Contract with OZ Systems
October, 2005 – Des Moines, IA – The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) renewed its existing contract with OZ Systems today. Under a state law enacted in 2004, the IDPH launched a statewide Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program to dramatically improve the long-term cognitive and social outcomes for babies born with hearing loss. The law requires birthing facilities to screen newborns for hearing loss prior to hospital discharge.

Texas Part C Agency Contracts with OZ Systems
